X marks the spot!

Today, we had a treasure hunt to find hidden treasure! The letter fairy brought us a map and wanted us to use our newly learned skill of recognizing the letter "x" so we were on the lookout for x marks the spot!

Here is our journey:
One of the pictures shows the handprints that the kids saw right away this morning on the classroom door! Then of course they found more on top of the mailbox, which would mean the Letter Fairy came! We checked the mailbox and read the clues to find our treasure...we went all through the hallways, "ocean", "jungle", etc. We finally got back to the classroom for the last clue! The hidden treasure was of course in the snowman box with small snowflake "x's" on it :) inside was some fake money and smarties! All in all, it was a fun time!
